EKSPOSISI 1 PETER 4 VERSE 6

INJIL DI BERITAKAN KE ORANG MATI ???

Apa yang di maksud dengan ORANG MATI di sini ???

 

Seperti biasa kita mulai terlebih dahulu dari perbandingan antar terjemahan sebagai berikut ini :

 

1Pe 4:6  Itulah sebabnya maka Injil telah diberitakan juga kepada orang-orang mati, supaya mereka, sama seperti semua manusia, dihakimi secara badani; tetapi oleh roh dapat hidup menurut kehendak Allah. 

 

^ASV  1 Peter 4:6 For unto this end was the gospel preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

^ESV  1 Peter 4:6 For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does.

^KJV  1 Peter 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

^MRD  1 Peter 4:6 For on this account the announcement is made also to the dead, that they may be judged as persons in the flesh, and may live according to God in the spirit.

^NAB  1 Peter 4:6 For this is why the gospel was preached even to the dead that, though condemned in the flesh in human estimation, they might live in the spirit in the estimation of God.

^NAS  1 Peter 4:6 For the gospel has for this purpose been preached even to those who are dead, that though they are judged in the flesh as men, they may live in the spirit according to the will of God.

^NET  1 Peter 4:6 Now it was for this very purpose that the gospel was preached to those who are now dead, so that though they were judged in the flesh by human standards they may live spiritually by God's standards.

^NIV  1 Peter 4:6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

^NKJ  1 Peter 4:6 For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

^NOR  1 Peter 4:6 For because of this [judgment], announcement was made also to the dead, that they might be judged as men [will be who are] in the flesh, and might live unto God in spirit.

^RSV  1 Peter 4:6 For this is why the gospel was preached even to the dead, that though judged in the flesh like men, they might live in the spirit like God.

 

^BGT  1 Peter 4:6 εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ καὶ νεκροῖς εὐηγγελίσθη, ἵνα κριθῶσι μὲν κατὰ ἀνθρώπους σαρκὶ ζῶσι δὲ κατὰ θεὸν πνεύματι.

^BYZ  1 Peter 4:6 Εἰς (to) τοῦτο (this end) γὰρ (indeed) καὶ (even) νεκροῖς (to the dead) εὐηγγελίσθη (the gospel was proclaimed), ἵνα (so that) κριθῶσιν (they might be judged) μὲν (indeed) κατὰ (according to) ἀνθρώπους (men) σαρκί (in the flesh), ζῶσιν (they might live) δὲ (however) κατὰ (according to) θεὸν (GOD) πνεύματι. (in the spirit)

 

Jadi apa yang di maksud dengan καὶ νεκροῖς εὐηγγελίσθη yang di terjemahkan sebagai was preached even to the dead atau yang di terjemahkan sebagai diberitakan juga kepada orang-orang mati.

 

Apakah orang-orang mati di sini menunjuk kepada orang mati dalam pembahasan 1 Peter 3 Verse 19 ???

Jika kita mengamati pasal 4 mulai dari ayat awal :

 

1Pe 4:1  Jadi, karena Kristus telah menderita penderitaan badani, kamupun harus juga mempersenjatai dirimu dengan pikiran yang demikian, --karena barangsiapa telah menderita penderitaan badani, ia telah berhenti berbuat dosa--, 

^NKJ  1 Peter 4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

 

Di ayat pertama ini di buka dengan kalimat Kristus telah menderita penderitaan badani yang menjadi sebuah contoh yang berjalan di depan maka sebagai pengikut Petrus menyarankan kamupun harus juga mempersenjatai dirimu dengan pikiran yang demikian, dengan tujuan ketika mengalami penderitan badani maka tidak ada waktu untuk berbuat dosa.

 

Dan hal ini akan di kuatkan dengan ayat ke 2 :

1Pe 4:2  supaya waktu yang sisa jangan kamu pergunakan menurut keinginan manusia, tetapi menurut kehendak Allah. 

^NKJ  1 Peter 4:2 that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. (1Pe 4:2 NKJ)

 

Kemudian di perkuat lagi argumentasi ini dengan ayat ke 3 :

1Pe 4:3  Sebab telah cukup banyak waktu kamu pergunakan untuk melakukan kehendak orang-orang yang tidak mengenal Allah. Kamu telah hidup dalam rupa-rupa hawa nafsu, keinginan, kemabukan, pesta pora, perjamuan minum dan penyembahan berhala yang terlarang. 

^NKJ  1 Peter 4:3 For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles-- when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. (1Pe 4:3 NKJ)

 

Nach ketika ayat pertama di jalankan, maka orang orang sekitar itu akan menampakan fenomena sebagai berikut ini :

1Pe 4:4  Sebab itu mereka heran, bahwa kamu tidak turut mencemplungkan diri bersama-sama mereka di dalam kubangan ketidaksenonohan yang sama, dan mereka memfitnah kamu. 

^NKJ  1 Peter 4:4 In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. (1Pe 4:4 NKJ)

 

Tetapi mereka itu tidak bisa lepas dari apa yang akan menjadi tanggung jawab mereka kelak, dan ini di bahas di ayat 5 :

1Pe 4:5  Tetapi mereka harus memberi pertanggungan jawab kepada Dia, yang telah siap sedia menghakimi orang yang hidup dan yang mati.

 

 

Kemudian kita sampai di ayat 6 yang menjadi kontroversi ini :

1Pe 4:6  Itulah sebabnya maka Injil telah diberitakan juga kepada orang-orang mati, supaya mereka, sama seperti semua manusia, dihakimi secara badani; tetapi oleh roh dapat hidup menurut kehendak Allah.

Jadi bagaimana mungkin kalo kita membaca dari ayat 1 sampe ayat 5 bicara soal orang orang yang hidup di sekitar kita, yang masi hidup dalam kebiasaan yang lama

 

Tau tau ayat ke kalimat Injil telah diberitakan juga kepada orang-orang mati kemudian pembicaraan berpindah kepada orang orang yang sudah mati ???

 

Khan kayak ngga nyambung serta kayak ngga masuk akal khan ???

 

Berarti kalimat orang-orang mati di sini adalah menunjuk semua orang yang ada di sekitar kita yang di bahas dalam ayat 1 sampe ayat 5

 

Itu jauh lebih masuk akal…. Dan menjadi satu kesatuan mata rantai dari ayat 1 sampe ayat 6
